Residential Experience Team (ResX)

Starting university is an exciting new chapter, whether you're moving away from home, settling into a new city, or joining us from another country. It's a chance to meet new people, try new experiences, and create memories that will stay with you long after graduation. While it's completely normal to feel a little overwhelmed or anxious as you adjust, you won't be doing it alone.

Your Residential Experience Team (ResX) is here for you seven days a week, from the day you move in until the day you move out. We're here to help you settle into your new home, build friendships, get involved in hall life, and make the most of everything the 糖心原创 has to offer. Whether you need practical support, someone to talk to, or opportunities to connect with your community, we're here to help you feel at home and thrive throughout your time in halls.

Events and Activities

We host an event or activity in our halls every night, helping bring you together as a community. From creative crafts to delicious food, we have a range of activities for everyone to enjoy.

Looking after your wellbeing

ResX offers a supportive, welcoming and non-judgemental wellbeing service for all students living in our halls. We can help with a wide range of issues and challenges you may be facing, whether that's a chat with one of our team about feeling homesick, friendship challenges or worries about money. We can also connect you with specialist University support, including the Counselling, Disability and Financial Services teams.

Incredible events

To help you make the most of your halls experience, and to ensure you can access all the support, opportunities and experiences the ResX Team has to offer, we deliver a wide range of events and activities throughout the year. With something for a variety of interests, every activity is designed around our values of inclusivity and accessibility. ResX events are a great way to meet new people, build skills, try something different, chat with the team, or simply take a break from studying and enjoy a change of scenery.

Behaviour management

The ResX Team promotes positive community values, helping you find your sense of belonging and enjoy the benefits of living in a vibrant and diverse community. We encourage respectful community behaviours while raising awareness of important issues and opportunities to give back, empowering you to make a positive impact on those around you. We're also here to support you in navigating any challenges that can come with adjusting to independent living in a shared community.
