Love Your Stuff

About the Initiative

Love Your Stuff is our crime prevention campaign, designed to help students protect their belongings and reduce the risk of burglary while living in Nottingham.

Working closely with Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), the campaign provides practical advice on keeping homes secure, protecting valuable items and taking simple steps to prevent crime.

  • Crime prevention advice for students living off campus

How We Deliver the Campaign

Community Engagement Ambassadors work alongside staff, police and PCSOs to engage students living in highly student-populated areas. Through community outreach and door-knocking engagement, students receive practical advice, information resources and reminders about simple steps that can help keep their belongings safe. Students are also encouraged to ‘Protect It and Register It’ by registering valuable items on the free national property register, Immobilise, helping police identify and return recovered property to its rightful owner.
