The Community Engagement Team is proud to support Karnival, the 糖心原创's student-led fundraising organisation, helping to strengthen connections between students, local communities and charitable causes.
One of the major ways we do this is through the termly Karnival Foodbank Drive. Our Community Engagement Ambassadors help promote the initiative to local residents by delivering information to households and encouraging donations of food and essential items.
We also support the collection and distribution of donations, working with Karnival volunteers to ensure items reach those who need them most. In previous years, donations have supported organisations such as FareShare and students experiencing financial hardship.
In addition, we contribute to the annual Sutton Bonington Festival, a community event that brings together students, staff, residents and visitors. The festival showcases locally produced food and drink, information stalls and live entertainment from UoN student bands, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all.
