IT account activation

Check your personal email four weeks before you are due to start your course. You will receive an email containing your Student ID number - you will need this to activate your IT account. Once you have your student ID number, follow the steps below to activate your account.

After you have activated your account, you will have access to all relevant student IT systems.

Can’t find your Student ID number?

  1. Sign into with your applicant details
  2. Click on the ‘Profile’ tile
  3. You will see your ID number in the top left of the screen

IT account activation steps:

  1. Go to  and select the option that best describes you under 'New users'.
  2. Take a look through the IT policies, and enter your personal details as indicated on the left of the screen. Check the agreement box.
  3. Your username, temporary password and email address will be displayed. Make a careful note of these details. Copy your temporary password so that you can paste it. Enter your username and password on the next screen.
  4. Set your security questions and responses, and save your answers. Note these are case sensitive.
  5. Change your password. You will need to enter your temporary password before choosing a new one. Use this guidance on choosing a strong password.
  6. Follow these steps to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
