From first ideas through to commercialisation and industry partnerships, Research & Innovation provides guidance and expert advice to support the delivery of the University’s research and knowledge exchange strategies, and achievement of its RKE ambitions. 

We manage the research and knowledge exchange (RKE) portfolio (approximately £900 million in active research, training and KE grants) in collaboration with the academic community, and deliver against institutional and external key performance indicators in order to ensure the university’s compliance with major funders and government agencies.

Upcoming electrical works at George Green from 20th July

Description
George Green Library will be having electrical testing from Monday 20th July through to Wednesday 29th July. Disruptions will be kept to a minimum, but there will be times when power units will be shut off for 10-15 minutes at a time. We apologise for the disruption.

Nottingham Confucius Institute Hosts Annual Local Teacher Training Event

Description
On Sunday 5 July 2026, the Nottingham Confucius Institute (NCI) welcomed around 30 Mandarin teachers from across the region to the Si Yuan Centre at the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´'s Jubilee Campus for its annual Local Teacher Training event. Designed to support the continuing professional development of Mandarin teachers, the event provided a valuable opportunity to explore current teaching approaches, exchange best practice and strengthen professional networks.
