Following the overwhelmingly positive feedback from last year’s collaboration, the School of Education and the MA Educational Leadership and Management (ELM) programme recently welcomed back Meeta Dave, former Headteacher of Radford Academy, Nottingham.
Drawing on her extensive leadership experience, Meeta shared insights into leading schools in challenging circumstances and reflected on the opportunities and complexities of educational leadership in practice.
The session was open to students across all postgraduate taught programmes, and we were pleased to welcome participants from beyond the MA ELM community.
The original session was organised in response to student feedback expressing a desire to learn more about schools in the local context. It led to a school visit and subsequent volunteering opportunities at Radford Academy. This year’s programme will build on that success and follow a similar pattern, providing students with valuable opportunities to connect theory with practice through engagement with local schools.
