Congratulations to BA Education student, Grace Sharp, who has been selected to attend the , taking place in Hong Kong on 27-28 October. This prestigious international event brings together university leaders and students from around the world to discuss key issues shaping the future of higher education.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Jane Norman will be speaking at the Summit, and the organisers invited the university to nominate an outstanding student to attend alongside university representatives. The Summit organisers will cover Grace's travel and accommodation costs, while the university will provide additional support towards associated expenses.
During the event, Grace will have the opportunity to engage with students from across the globe, share perspectives on higher education, and contribute to international discussions on leadership and student experience.
Grace was selected in recognition of her outstanding contributions both within and beyond the university. Earlier this year, Grace received a Student Excellence Award and has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement through her volunteering with Sport for Good Nottingham. She also played a significant role in the Empower Leaders Outreach Programme, supporting secondary school mentors to deliver leadership and mentoring activities for younger girls.
This is a remarkable opportunity and one that is rarely available to students. We congratulate Grace on this well-deserved recognition.
