Usama Syed Aqeel
Usama works with Prof. Clare Burrage on the dynamics of particles through symmetron field domain walls as a model for dark matter. The symmetron is a scalar field with an screened effective potential where screening is dependent on the local matter density. The goal is to study the stability and lifetime of domain walls of an effective symmetron potential with nearly degenerate vacuum states.

Trevor Cheung
Trevor is working with Dr. David Stefanyszyn on the cosmological bootstrap. Traditionally we compute observables given a model of inflation, but this is typically tedious. The bootstrap approach relies on the fact that symmetries and other simple physical principles like unitarity, locality and causality provide surprisingly powerful constraints on the observables. We hope to discover stronger constraints and what we can still say if we break some of these physical principles.

Lauren Gaughan
Lauren is working with Dr. Adam Moss and Prof. Anne Green, looking at the effects of axion-like-particles in the early universe and their potential as candidates for both dark energy and dark matter.

Thomas Martin
Thomas is working with Dr. Oliver Gould and Prof. Paul Saffin on cosmological phase transitions and their gravitational wave signatures. Our aim is to predict the shape of the stochastic gravitational wave background (SGWB) spectrum based on the underlying field theory and its phase diagram. This will, in tandem with upcoming measurements of the SGWB, solve problems in the Standard Model and place constraints on BSM theories.

MPhys Physics with Astrophysics, University of Warwick
Benjamin Muntz
Benjamin works on fundamental aspects of the cosmological constant problem together with Prof. Tony Padilla and Prof. Ed Copeland. He is interested in what quantum gravity can say about problems in cosmology, and how cosmology may be used to probe quantum gravity. This incorporates string phenomenology, Swampland programme, black holes, and analogue problems using AdS/CFT.

Drande Patogu
Drande is working with Professor Antonio Padilla and Dr David Stefanyszyn on various topics in quantum field theory, gravity and cosmology. Her research includes computing quantum corrections to cosmological correlators and scattering amplitudes in de Sitter space, as well as exploring long-distance modifications of gravity and the cosmological constant problem.

Juhan Tiitus Raidal
Juhan is working with Prof. Edmund Copeland, Dr. Anastasios Avgoustidis, and Dr. Adam Moss on constraining early universe models through gravitational waves. Using current and future gravitational wave measurements, the goal is to learn more about early-universe physics by studying potential sources such as cosmic superstrings and phase transitions.

Sayyed Farbod Rassouli
Farbod researches Early Universe Effective Field Theories (EFTs) during phase transitions with Dr. Oliver Gould and Prof. Paul Saffin. He also collaborates with Prof. João Magueijo at Imperial College London on Topological Field Theory in gravity. His academic focus includes Algebraic Geometry's connections to Theoretical Physics. Mohammed Shafi Hashim Nazeer
Shafi is interested in Theoretical Cosmology, with a particular focus on reheating after cosmic inflation and phase transitions that can lead to the known Hot Big Bang phase of our universe. Presently, he's working on the formation and decay of oscillons during reheating, as well as on the bubble nucleation and expansion during phase transitions under the supervision of Prof. Paul Saffin and Dr. Oliver Gould.
