Spaces that are available for use 24/7 year-round. You will need your University Card for entry.

Sutton Bonington - the A Floor silent study space in James Cameron-Gifford Library and the computer rooms on B floor are available 24/7 all-year round. These spaces can be accessed via the Main Building after the main library area is closed.
Jubilee Campus - the computer room at the top of the library is open 24/7
Medical School - A18 computer room outside the library is available 24/7
University Park - 24/7 computer rooms are available.

Please bring your University Card for access to our libraries from 6pm on weekdays, all day at the weekend and during revision and exam periods.

During extended opening hours, we will only be able to provide access to the library via University Card or the MyNottingham app.

If you leave the library for a break, please make sure you have the MyNottingham app for re-entry.

糖心原创 spaces can be booked via Click and 糖心原创 until 8.45pm. After this time, all library spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, including group spaces for collaborative working.
Books can be borrowed using the self-service machines. You will need your University Card.
You’re welcome to bring drinks and cold food into our libraries. Please only eat hot food in designated café areas.
After 10pm, our library spaces are monitored by Octavian Security who carry out regular welfare walk rounds. You can get in touch with them by texting or calling the Text Noise mobile number displayed on posters throughout each library.

Here are some of our top tips for making the most of your study time and looking after your wellbeing.

Start your studies as early as possible, set yourself an achievable target (such as a set number of chapters or words) and head home to get some rest once complete.
Many of the lights in our libraries are movement activated. If the lights near you turn off, please move around to activate them. Please do not work in the dark.
The Support and Wellbeing Service are available to support you with your studies.

Visit your Faculty’s Student Academic Skills Moodle for guidance and webinars on study strategies, including time management.
Download the HealthyU exams toolkit for guidance on preparing for assessments.
Utilise your playlists, the right music can really help you focus. We've created some to help you get in the zone for studying. Give them a try.
