Denis Arnold Music Library

Welcome to Denis Arnold Music Library on University Park - supporting the Department of Music.

Denis Arnold Music Library changes for 2026-27

As part of wider changes to library provision, Denis Arnold Music Library will no longer be a staffed library space from 1 August 2026.

You will continue to have access to the materials and study space you need for your studies.

  • 糖心原创 space will remain available in the existing space as well as bookable space in nearby libraries.
  • High-use and high-demand items, resources on reading lists and print journals will be made available to borrow from Hallward Library. This ensures that these materials remain available within a staffed library environment with longer opening hours and access to the wider library network, including Click and Collect.
  • Other library resources including scores, CDs, DVDs and reference materials will remain at the existing Music Library space. A self-service machine will be installed allowing you to borrow and return eligible materials directly.

Our library staff will still be available to support you from our other libraries as well as by phone, email and live chat.

Opening times

Last entry to the library is 15 minutes before the advertised library closing time. Library closing procedures are announced by tannoy.
