On arrival
Firstly, check-in your attendance on arrival. Then head to one of our Welcome Zones, where you can grab a printed map, refreshments and chat to staff and students who'll be on hand to answer any questions. Locations vary depending on the campus you’re visiting.
- University Park Campus - Great Hall, Trent Building (building number 11 on the map) and Engineering and Science Learning Centre (ESLC) Building (building number 54 on the map)
- Jubilee Campus - if your subject activity is taking place here, you should arrive at University Park Campus first and head to the Great Hall, Trent Building (building number 11 on the map)
- Sutton Bonington Campus - please head directly to your subject activity location, which can be found in the UoN Open Days app
Example programmes for your day
Experience Days are split according to whether you’ve chosen to join your subject activity in the morning or afternoon.
9am event start time
If you’ve booked onto attend your subject session in the morning, you’ll check-in and then visit the academic school first. There’ll then be time to grab yourself some lunch from one of our many cafes around campus. Your afternoon will be spent exploring the university and soaking up the campus experience.
Below is an example programme of how your day could look -
9am - Check-in and refreshments
9.15am - Chat to support service teams, including Admissions, Finance and Sport
10am-12.15pm - Subject activity
12.15pm - Grab yourself lunch
1-3pm - Explore campus, sports facilities and accommodation
10.30am event start time
If you’ve booked onto attend your subject session in the afternoon, you’ll join us on campus a bit later in the morning. Once you've checked-in, you can take part in the wider campus activities before lunch, then meet with your academic department in the afternoon.
Below is an example programme of how your day could look -
10.30am - Check-in and refreshments
10.45am-12.30pm - Explore campus, sports facilities and accommodation
12.30pm - Grab yourself lunch
1.15-3.30pm - Subject activity
3.45pm - Chat to support service teams, including Admissions, Finance and Sport
Subject-specific activities
This is your opportunity to meet academic staff and current students from the department. There will be plenty of activities and talks to join so you can find out more about your course. You can get involved in:
- taster lectures
- interactive sessions
- a tour of the facilities to see where you’ll be studying
