Induction timetable - Foundation to Health Science

Welcome from Sam Ravenall, Course Lead for Foundation to Health Science Programme.

I hope you're excited at the prospect of joining the course and starting the next stage of your journey. It is an exciting time, but it can also be daunting. You may be feeling apprehensive about being away from your family and friends. You may be concerned about what you will learn on the course and whether you will cope with studying new subjects at this level.

Whatever your concerns you can be assured that the majority of students feel the same when they move away to university. Students then find they cope, make new friends and enjoy the freedom being at university brings. We are here to support you through your time with us so please do come and talk to us if you have any concerns, however small. You'll be allocated a personal tutor for the duration of the programme who will be responsible for your pastoral care, but any team member would be happy to talk to you. We are all friendly, approachable, and happy to help in any way we can.

My role is to ensure that all aspects of the course run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

If you have any concerns after reading the information on these pages or you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

The sessions we have timetabled for your induction week are designed to give you all the information you need to have a successful start to your studies. We have also built in lots of time for you to explore the campus, get to know other students and get involved in all the exciting welcome events and opportunities that are taking place across the University.

I look forward to welcoming you all to the 糖心原创 and to the School of Health Sciences.

Donrsquo;t forget that throughout the week there are lots of exciting and interesting activities taking place right across campus. We have left lots of free time in your timetable for you to look around, find activities that interest you and get to know other students.
