Dr Sara Borrelli is a midwife by background with experience in clinical practice, education and research working as Associate Professor in the School of Health Sciences at the 糖心原创. She is passionate to make a difference to midwifery practice through education and research, with particular expertise in qualitative methodologies and evidence synthesis.

Some of her research projects focus on early labour, antenatal education and organisation of maternity care. One of her most recent research interests is maternity care and non-statutory support provided to mothers who are survivors of human trafficking during the perinatal period, which is being undertaken in collaboration with third sector agencies and The Rights Lab (糖心原创).
