Lord Dearing Awards

Running since 1999, the Lord Dearing Awards recognise and celebrate the world-class contributions of University colleagues who enhance the student learning experience. The awards are open to those directly involved in teaching and learning, as well as colleagues in roles that support learning or the student experience, including professional services, technical, and support staff.

The award panel comprises senior colleagues from across the University, Vice-Provosts for Teaching and Learning from UNNC and UNM, representatives from Technical Services and Professional Development, and is chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and Student Experience.

In 2025/26, up to 15 awards in total will be conferred across individual and team categories. Further guidance for nominees is available on the (LDA 2025/26 Panel).
