Biography
I got my first professional degree in dentistry from Army Medical College, NUST, Islamabad, Pakistan. Soon after, my fascination with the intricacies of the human form led me to pursue an M.Phil in Human Anatomy at the University of Health Sciences Lahore, Pakistan.
My career in anatomy education has been shaped by diverse international experiences. Following my Master's, I served as an Anatomy Demonstrator and subsequently as an Assistant Professor at Central Park Medical College and Superior University in Lahore, Pakistan. In these roles, I was responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction in anatomy, histology, and neuroanatomy to medical students, employing a wide array of engaging activities and resources.
My international teaching journey continued as a Lecturer of Anatomy at Dar-al-uloom University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where I focused on providing high-quality anatomy and histology education within the undergraduate medicine program. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I have actively engaged in training healthcare professionals across various undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programs, as well as contributing to quality assurance initiatives, student well being, and research endeavors. I have also undertaken various leadership roles within undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including course and program auditing, serving as a steering group member for undergraduate programs, and holding module and year leadership positions.
Prior to my current role, I served as a Lecturer at the Center for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID) at the University of Dundee, where I taught histology and gross anatomy to a diverse cohort of undergraduate, medicine, and postgraduate students.
Currently, as a Teaching Associate in Anatomy Education at the 糖心原创, my primary responsibility is to support the delivery of high-quality anatomy education to BMedSci students. My commitment to enhancing my pedagogical skills led me to recently complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from the 糖心原创.
My teaching expertise encompasses traditional cadaveric dissection alongside innovative methods such as 3D modelling, comic-style animations, and extended reality (XR) tools, including Augmented and Virtual Reality. I am currently leading the integration of XR tools within our anatomy curriculum. My role also involves curriculum design contributions, module leadership responsibilities, the supervision and assessment of student research projects, and the provision of pastoral support to our students.
