MA Digital Teaching and Learning

This course course aims to strengthen your understanding of learning in the digital age and explore how digital technology can transform the teaching and learning experience.

It will increase your knowledge of digital technologies as resources for learning. You will evaluate the use of such technologies in educational contexts and assess how new learning technology can be implemented at a variety of levels in both formal and informal education.

This course aims to strengthen and refine your ability to critically reflect upon your own teaching. You will engage with contemporary theories in education and examine how you might apply them to the practice you carry out.

MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy 

This course enables you to gain the theoretical, professional and personal skills needed for effective counselling practice. 

You will undertake a work placement as a counsellor and be supported by qualified practice educator, allowing you to build practical skills and develop as a counsellor.

MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy 

 
 

MA Special and Inclusive Education

This course looks at how can we best support learners who are struggling with learning, the complexities of inclusive education in a rapidly changing world, the rights of children to be included in schools and how we address the current barriers to inclusivity.

It examines the educational needs of children with labels of learning difficulties and disabilities. You’ll consider the importance of communication and literacy and analyse how different countries approach identification and assessments for children with special needs.

MSc Education

This course develops your understanding of educational research, practice and policy and addresses issues shaping education nationally and internationally. 

The course offers the flexibility to choose from a range of optional modules, or you can follow a set specialist route, which will be reflected on your academic transcript.

This course offers the flexibility if you want to study  alongside your work as an educator. 

You will develop your understanding of educational research, practice and policy, focussing on global and local educational issues, and enhance your career prospects.

To help make things easier for you, the course offers a choice of study length and two start dates.

  • 24 month option for those who are eligible to apply for Student Loan Company funding, starting in September
  • Up to 48 month option for those needing more flexibility. This also gives you the option of a September or January start

The Centre for English Language Education (CELE) offers pre-sessional English language courses to improve your language level to meet the entry requirements for your degree and also offer continued support while you study with us.

The CELE Academic Language and Communication Skills (ALACS) team offers a wide range of free courses for all students on writing successful academic assignments and dissertations, criticality, academic integrity, effective presentation and discussion skills.  They also offer one-to-one consultations
