The UK’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) market is currently valued at over £16.4 billion and is projected to add £780 billion to the UK economy by 2035. In 2023, the committed approximately £1 billion in funding for next generation supercomputing and AI research. Plus, a further £2.5 billion in the next ten years as part of its , aimed at nurturing new scale-up investment and high-quality job creation in the UK.  

At the same time, the government released its committing up to £1 billion in investment (with up to £200 million focused over the years 2023-2025), in the next decade to improve infrastructure access, advance R&D and facilitate greater collaboration.
