Biofilms generate economic impact

We are generating around £204m of economic impact for the UK through biofilm research that accelerates industry innovation, supports skilled jobs and delivers solutions to global challenges such as antimicrobial resistance, food safety and water security.

The Ingenuity Lab, based at the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is where our students and alumni partner with the local community and launch enterprises to help tackle social and environmental challenges.
