Students
There are lots of ways for current undergraduate and postgraduate students to get involved in science outreach and public engagment. Some examples inlcude:
- Volunteering through programmes such as Learning Leaders, IntoUniverity or local events such as Science in the Park and the Festival of Science and Curiosity.
- Paid work opportunities through the Widening Participation and in subject areas such as the
- Competition and training opportunities such as Famelab
- Some are actively engaged with local schools or events

Become a STEM Ambassador
Both staff and students are encouraged to become STEM Ambassadors. provides further training and support, a local network of like minded individuals as well as the opportunity to directly accept school requests and the ability to log your volunteering hours.
