The CDT aims to grow the next generation of research leaders and innovators, allowing them to develop a broad economic, societal and contextual awareness.
 

The (CCSCFE) aims to tackle Global challenges, such as reducing the world’s carbon footprint to mitigate the effects that Climate Change is having on our planet. 

The Centre draws on the internationally-leading fossil energy programme at the 糖心原创 and on colleagues at , , and the .

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Carbon Capture and Storage and Cleaner Fossil Energy is no longer recruiting. However, there is a new CDT in that is now accepting applicants.

Main objective

The Centre is to produce research leaders to tackle the major national and international challenges over the next 15 years. 

This will be through implementing new power plant to generate electricity more efficiently using fossil energy with near zero emissions.

We are able to provide successful applicants that satisfy the EPSRC eligibility criteria with a generous scholarship package that includes:

  • tuition fees paid
  • a tax-free annual stipend of £18,796
  • resources to support your training, development, UK travel and research
  • a separate international travel budget for attendance for visits to overseas laboratories and attendance at international conferences is available
