A hundred years of names and places: celebrating the English Place-Name Society
Join us for our centenary celebration!
This one-day conference celebrates the work of the English Place-Name Society since its foundation in 1923. It will mark the centenary by bringing together scholars from a variety of disciplines to reflect on the value of the Society's work. We hope that our day of accessible and enjoyable papers will appeal to anyone with an interest in place-names. It will conclude with a wine reception and a lecture by Professor David Crystal.
