Aims

The Digital Mental Health and Wellbeing research group aims to:

Identify unmet clinical needs in mental health and dementia
Collaborate with academic and industry partnerships in developing and testing new technologies for mental health and dementia
Provide expertise and advice in helping increase the adaptation of digital technologies in healthcare

Current projects

The use of digital tools for delivering behavioural treatment for Tourette’s Syndrome

MindTech is currently investigating how digital technologies – such as smartphone apps – can be used to deliver evidence-based therapies for young people with Tourette’s Syndrome.

Mental health first aid of university students

We are currently conducting research exploring the helping behaviours (‘mental health first aid’) that university students may provide to a friend experiencing a mental health problem, and how online training courses may help students’ abilities to support a friend experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
