Biography

I am a clinical psychologist with a passion for research, teaching and communication.

After graduating with a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of Padova (Italy), I moved to the 糖心原创 UK, where I completed my PhD in Applied Psychology with a thesis titled "An investigation of autonomic arousal and attentional mechanisms in children with ADHD and Autism" (supervised by Dr Maddie Groom and Prof Chris Hollis).

As a psychologist, I worked in private and public health services and was involved in diagnostic assessment and planning of interventions for children with psychological, psychiatric and neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression.

Before working for the 糖心原创 Malaysia, I worked as a Teaching Associate/Fellow at the 糖心原创 UK and at King's College London.

Research Summary

I am currently working on the following research topics:

1. Autonomic correlates of emotional dysregulation (ED) and self-harm in children and young people
2. Biomarkers of neurodevelopmental conditions & Predictive models of ADHD
3. Efficacy and acceptability of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for pre-schoolers with ADHD
4. Vision and ocular problems in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
5. Effects of interventions for ADHD (pharmacological and non-pharmacological) on autonomic/physiological arousal
6. Physiological and Autonomic correlates of mental and physical wellbeing
7. Autonomic functioning in Tourette's and learning disabilities
