The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on consumer rights law throws a spotlight on the accuracy and timeliness of the information which institutions provide to applicants and students about their programme of study. The seminar will seek to explore the tensions between the CMA guidance to the Higher Education sector and the need for institutions to be market responsive in the development and modification of their programmes and modules.
The seminar will include several case studies highlighting different institutional approaches to programme development and making programme/module changes as well as how corporate systems can help being ‘CMA compliant’. Four universities (De Montfort, Edge Hill, Liverpool John Moores and Sheffield Hallam) will be providing short introductions to how they are approaching this and there will be plenty of opportunities for all participants to share their experiences and swap good practice.
