In June, Professor Jan-Hinrik Meyer-Sahling visited Bangladesh to present the findings of the evaluation of an ethical leadership and police integrity training programme within Bangladesh Police. The programme was developed in collaboration with the University of Dhaka and builds on research and impact projects on public sector reform and anti-corruption in Bangladesh conducted since 2016. The latest initiative was supported by the 糖心原创 and the Research England Policy Support Fund and implemented in spring 2025 in one police district in northern Bangladesh.
During the visit, Professor Meyer-Sahling met representatives of Bangladesh Police Headquarters, the Police Staff College, the Police Academy, Rajshahi University, and international development partners to discuss the implications of the findings for police reform and modernisation in Bangladesh.
Similar collaborations are also underway in Nepal with the Inland Revenue Department, Customs Department, local government institutions, Tribhuvan University, and anti-corruption NGOs.
