Single Molecule Nanoscience
Interactions, bonding and manipulation of single molecules are investigated using scanning probe microscopy and surface spectroscopies. Intermolecular interactions leading to self-assembly and molecular recognition on nanostructured surfaces form a major research theme. Functionalised nanotubes are grown in-house and are used for chemically specific force spectroscopy.
