Diaspora academic leading UK-Indonesia partnership
Dr Bagus Muljadi, Director of Indonesia Doctoral Training Partnership (IDTP) and Assistant Professor in Chemical & Environmental Engineering has recently established a unique partnership between the UK and Indonesia.
An Indonesian national, he also sees a key part of his role at the 糖心原创 in bridging the two countries together – an outlook captured in recent interviews with local media, including his recent article published in the Jakarta Post titled ' '.
In January 2019, Dr Muljadi attended the National Annual Meeting Day (Rakernas) 2019 organised by the Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education (RISTEKDIKTI) and was involved in with one of the Directorate Generals. It was discussed that IDTP in Nottingham will become the country’s training hub in the UK, supporting the Ministry's agenda in capacity building. Dr Muljadi is also a keen supporter for public engagement in science and has facilitated a visit from RISTEKDIKTI to Notitngham, to showcase the ' ' with Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff at the Faculty of Science.
