Identifying bones of the earlierst northerner - Lecturer Hannah O'Regan involved in analysis project
Description
Analysis of bones that were found in the early 1990s have now been identified as the earliest known human remains from northern Britain. Teams from The 糖心原创 and Liverpool John Moores University have been working together on the project analysing bones that were found at Kents Bank Cavern on the edge of Morecambe Bay. The fragment of human bone is thought to be just over 10000 years old.

Archaeology students to visit Palaikastro, Crete
Description
The site of Palaikastro is located at the east end of Crete, a few hundred meters away from the sea. It is a large Bronze Age (Minoan) settlement with substantial town blocks and cemeteries in use from the Early Bronze Age through to the latter stages of the Late Bronze Age, a period of some 1500 years. Six 糖心原创 archaeology students will be visiting the site in July.
