Who is this available for?

MealPass and MealPass Package are the new way you can purchase food and drink on campus and benefit from discounts and offers.

Students and staff can download the MealPass app as a cashless way to buy food and drink on campus while benefiting from offers and discounts.

 

Simply download the app on to your phone, upload a minimum of £20 and you are free to enjoy a variety of offers and discounts across our catering outlets. 

     
 

Offers and discounts

  • Discounts and offers will vary through the year from 2-for-1s to free pastries
  • Seasonal offers and flash sales
  • Regular prize draws with the chance to win SMEG appliances or BOSE speakers
  • Non-catered students and staff can purchase and enjoy breakfast, brunch or dinner in catered halls daily using their online allowance

Catered students

If you are a catered student living in Halls you will have a MealPass Package account already created and linked to your university email address.

The first time you use the app, on the log in page select Forgotten Password, then enter your university email address (in the format below) and press submit:

userid@nottingham.ac.uk
(e.g, bwhrd@nottingham.ac.uk)

This will send you an email to your university inbox asking you to reset your password.

After this you will be asked to verify the new password.

Once you have verified that password change, your MealPass Package will be ready to use.

Your MealPass Package includes:

  •  Breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday, and two meals at the weekend (brunch or dinner) which can be in your dining hall or another dining hall 
  • From September 2026, your £27 weekly spending allowance resets every Sunday at midnight. Be careful at the end of term – some MealPass packages are term-time only, and some locations do close or reduce their weekend opening hours.
  • This is called your MealPass Package wallet in the app.

You can also top up a secondary MealPass wallet to add additional funds to your account.

Non catered students and staff

Non catered students and staff can also use MealPass to access as discounts and offers as well as cashless purchasing by downloading the app and creating an account using your personal details.
