The School of Geography is committed to high-quality research and knowledge transfer, and we have a strong culture of interdisciplinary and collaborative research.

Our work generates high-impact research which informs government public policy, private enterprise and third sector organisations, as well as inter-government organisations. We collaborate with leading organisations in the private and public sectors, ensuring our research has important and beneficial applications and impacts for society.
Our community is organised into four research themes and three collaborative research hubs that reflect and shape research strategy and we pride ourselves on a strong collegiate research culture.
