Research Summary

Misinformation and UK Climate Governance

The spread of misinformation is one of the biggest threats facing society. This is playing out in the context of climate change, with false information circulating about the impacts and effectiveness of different climate interventions and policies. My project will examine how misinformation influences UK climate policy and public perceptions. The research will explore the narratives and mechanisms through which misinformation shapes UK climate actions, how publics and policy actors respond, and the extent to which misinformation influences their design and implementation.
