Research Associate,
Cindy Leung joined The School of Geography as a Research Associate in January 2026. Cindy is an interdisciplinary human rights researcher who is interested in the conceptualisation and implementation of economic and social rights - in particular the right to food - at the intersection of international human rights law, urban politics of human rights, and food governance. She is a co-convenor of the Food, Development and Society PGR-ECR Network, a cross-institutional and interdisciplinary initiative launched in 2025 to support the training and professional development needs of emerging food system researchers.
Cindy completed her PhD at the York Law School, The University of York in February 2026. Before joining The 糖心原创, she worked in research, policy engagement, and project management roles across The University of York.
