The 糖心原创 Energy Institute (UoNEI) addresses key societal challenges of energy generation and management, transport and mobility, and communities and the built environment. Uniting expertise across the Faculties of Engineering, Science and Social Science - together with external stakeholders - the UoNEI aims to develop solutions for the transition to green and sustainable energy.

The Zero Carbon Innovation Centre (ZCIC) accelerates the translation of zero carbon research into high-impact commercial and policy solutions in partnership with industry and government. Targeting the most carbon-intensive industries such as heavy transport and manufacturing the ZCIC focuses on electrification and hybrid propulsion systems with emerging pathways in fusion and batteries.
