The (CHT) address major healthcare challenges through technology innovations, supporting the rapid translation of scientific discoveries into healthcare adoption. A collaboration between the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, the CHT also incorporates the Centre for Healthcare Equipment & Technology Adoption (CHEATA). 

The (GERC) address the global energy supply trilemma of affordability, security and sustainability. A joint centre with the British Geological Survey, the GERC undertakes research into subsurface energy processes specifically fluid-rock interactions, sensor development and demonstration of monitoring technologies. 

The Lightning Technology Research Centre, a long-term collaboration with BAE Systems, aims to understand lightning and its interaction with modern technology. 

The Nanoscale and Microscale Research Centre (nmRC) supports nanoscience and materials characterisation. With state-of-the-art facilities and allied expertise across materials and chemical imaging, compositional analysis, and nanofabrication, the nmRC provides analytical services across the university and commercially. 

The Powertrain Research Centre (PRC) focuses on various aspects of thermofluids in vehicle propulsion working across light and heavy-duty applications – transport and power. A key UK centre of excellence for automotive propulsion research and development, the PRC is internationally renowned for close collaboration with the automotive industry. 

The Precision Manufacturing Centre (PMC) offers consultancy, contract manufacturing and measurement services at a competitive rate to help companies operating in the UK develop and produce high-value, high-quality products. With state-of-the-art high and ultra precision facilities and unrivalled expertise, the PMC can support with product design and engineering, bespoke tooling development, training and after care.

The Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre (UTC) in Gas Turbine Transmission Systems develops modelling tools and approaches to enable the design and development of new, lighter, more efficient aeroengine transmission systems. ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ing key aeroengine components – gears and gearboxes, bearings and bearing chambers, seals, shafts and support structures – the UTC is developing transmission systems for current and future aerospace platforms.

The Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre (UTC) in Manufacturing and On-Wing Technology has expertise in all aspects of aerospace manufacture. With particular interest in fixturing, mechatronics, on-wing inspection and robotic systems for in-situ repair, the UTC also excels in non-conventional machining processes - especially in difficult to cut materials - and in-process sensing and monitoring technologies.

The Zero Carbon Innovation Centre (ZCIC) accelerates the translation of zero carbon research into high-impact commercial and policy solutions in partnership with industry and government. Targeting the most carbon-intensive industries such as heavy transport and manufacturing the ZCIC focuses on electrical machine manufacturing, hydrogen propulsion systems, and digital twinning.
