Optical techniques are making a significant impact in biology and medicine. They can be used for imaging and sensing from molecules to man. Since 1990 the OWLS conference has been an important forum for researchers pioneering novel optical techniques and their applications. This is the first OWLS conference to be held in China and we look forward to welcoming you to Ningbo.
