The Sport, Conflict, Culture seminar series is resuming with a panel on Sport and Conflict across cultures, on the 11th July from 14 to 15:30.

The panel will explore the role of sports as a cultural, political and economic phenomenon in situations of conflict and post-conflict, as well as a device to explore and interrogate cultural, ideological and sociopolitical frameworks. The panel will cover classic works on cricket (and so much more) and perhaps less well-known films and literary texts which explore complex narratives surrounding football and the nation state.
