American and Canadian studies encompass the study of American literature, history, culture and politics. We are keen to work with schools to support the study of these areas within English and History departments, and to offer special events, classes and workshops for local students.
We are pleased to offer an excellent termly programme of public lectures that range across a wide variety of subjects. Past talks have covered the JFK assassination, American civil rights and contemporary slavery.
