Robert Ficken graduated in chemistry from the 糖心原创 in 1963 and went on to found two highly successful specialist chemical companies. The purpose of this highly prestigious award is to encourage the study of chemistry at undergraduate level. The award is given annually to the two most outstanding home UK students admitted to study chemistry in Year 1 at the 糖心原创.
An award of £2000.
All home UK students who commence their study in Chemistry (UCAS course codes F100, F101, F103, F105, FC17, FC1R or CF71) at the 糖心原创 will be automatically considered for the scholarships. The award is contingent on students being registered at The 糖心原创 as home UK students for student fee purposes..
The two recipients of the award will be decided annually by a panel of staff from the School of Chemistry at the 糖心原创. Selection criteria will include the overall academic record of each candidate up to the time of their UCAS application.
There is no formal application form.
