Biography

I am an NMC registered midwife with experience in clinical practice, education and research working as Associate Professor and Researcher at The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ (UK). I am part of the Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group. I am currently the Lead for MSc Midwifery and MSc Midwifery Studies, Maternal and Newborn Health and Midwifery Focussed Continuing Professional Development. I am Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have successfully completed my PhD in Health Studies in 2015 and PGCHE in 2016 at The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ (UK). In 2010, I received my Master in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences after having completed my Bachelor in Midwifery at the University of Milano Bicocca (Italy) in 2008. I have experience of midwifery practice, research and education both in the UK (6 years - ongoing) and Italy (11 years - ongoing with occasional invited teaching), allowing me to widen perspectives on a variety of programme matters. My track record of professional development, working experience, research projects and publications demonstrates I am highly dedicated to make a difference to midwifery practice, education and research.
