Entrepreneurial Ingenuity

In this module, you'll explore the link between creativity and entrepreneurial action through both theoretical frameworks and practical applications. You'll delve into key entrepreneurial concepts while developing a hypothetical but feasible business idea deploying the Ingenuity Process.


Introduction to Economics

This module introduces you to microeconomics and macroeconomics. This module introduces you to the microeconomic theory of the market and the firm. Topics covered include:

  • market demand
  • supply and equilibrium
  • firm production and costs
  • market structure
  • perfect competition
  • monopolistic competition
  • oligopoly and monopoly

This module introduces you to the nature and scope of the macroeconomic policy agenda, and develops the analytical frameworks necessary for the evaluation of policy instruments. The module enables you to understand the economic arguments that under-lie different views and to evaluate relevant arguments.


Microeconomics for Business

Explore essential economic concepts for understanding market dynamics and decision-making. This module covers trade benefits, consumer theory, intertemporal consumption, factor markets, welfareÌýeconomicsÌýand decisionÌýmaking in uncertain scenarios, providing a robust understanding of economic principles.


Foundational Skills for Economic ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´

This module equips students with skills to succeed in the study of economics and beyond. With the help of examples and digital tools, students are introduced to the foundations of working with data, from understanding different data types and sources to visualising and interpreting data. The module fosters critical awareness of ethical issues in the production and use of data with questions about bias, transparency and sustainability.


Quantitative Methods 1B

Develop your skills in mathematical and statistical techniques with topics like calculus, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, partial differentiation, optimisation, probability, randomÌývariablesÌýand sampling distributions. This module equips you to tackle quantitative challenges in economics and business.
