Undergraduate BA Philosophy, Politics and Economics (VLL5) induction timetable

Your induction is a programme of activities and events to introduce you to your school and course. It's important that you attend each induction activity to give you the best start to the year.

Save this page to your favourites, and check back regularly as timetables can change.

Joint honours students

If you are studying in at least two separate schools or departments as part of your degree, you are a joint honours student. We advise that you access Welcome information and the induction timetables for all parts of your degree.

For joint honours degrees, one school or department acts as the ‘lead’ for your degree. The lead is responsible for the administrative aspects of your course, such as assigning personal tutors.

You should prioritise the schedule for your lead school or department, but you are welcome to attend any relevant sessions for your partner area(s), as long as they do not clash with those of your lead area. We recommend that you attend at least the main induction talk for your partner school(s) or department(s).

This timetable is for activities and meetings organised by the School of Politics and International Relations. Please do check with your home school (Economics) for their activities.

Session locations

To guide you around campus, we’ve given you some help to get to the different buildings (see ‘venue’ in the schedule for more details).

  • – gives detailed information about accessibility of buildings across our university campuses. In your induction timetable you will find the unique link to each building to support you in finding the correct room.
  • Campus map – has building numbers to help you find where your talks are located. See the University Park Campus map (PDF).
