Undergraduate BSc Environmental Sciences (2+2 students) induction timetable
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our school and have created an informative induction programme to help ease you into life at UoN. The programme includes activities and events to introduce you to your school and course. We strongly encourage you to attend these sessions, as they are an essential part of your orientation and will help prepare you for your time at Nottingham.
Our sessions will introduce you to:
- the structure of your course
- our academic and administrative staff
- all the resources and support available to you at the 糖心原创
Session locations
To guide you around campus, we’ve given you some help to get to the different buildings (see ‘venue’ in the schedule for more details).
- gives detailed information about accessibility of buildings across our university campuses. In your induction timetable you will find the unique link to each building to support you in finding the correct room.
- (represented by /// in the Venue column) is a location system that assigns every 3m x 3m square on Earth a unique combination of three words for easy and precise addressing. You can click on the links given to see the location on the what3words map.
- Campus map has building numbers to help you find where your talks are located. See the University Park Campus map (PDF)
Some sessions will take place online. Find a study space to use if you need a quiet place to join.
Participation levels
Each event lists the level of interaction. This includes:
- No interaction: An information session with no questions asked of the audience. You will not be asked to speak in front of the audience.
- Some voluntary interaction: An information session with very limited (voluntary) participation. The speaker may ask questions or invite you to ask questions on a voluntary basis. You will not be asked to speak in front of the audience.
- Active voluntary interaction: An interactive session, where the speaker may ask questions but will ask for voluntary answers. You may be asked to contribute.
- Social interaction: A social/informal event aimed to help you get to know your peers and/or different services/groups from around the university. There will be spaces available for those that prefer to be in a separate, quieter space for any part of the session.
