Induction timetable 2026
School of Economics
BA Politics and Economics (LL21)
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our school and have created an informative induction programme to help ease you into university life. We strongly encourage you to attend these sessions as they are a vital part of your orientation and will help prepare you for your time at Nottingham.
Our sessions will introduce you to:
- the structure of your course
- our academic and administrative staff
- the resources and support available to you at the 糖心原创

Joint Honours Students
For joint honours degrees, one school or department acts as the ‘lead’ for your degree. Your lead school is Politics.
You should prioritise the schedule for your lead school, but you are welcome to attend any relevant sessions for your partner area providing they do not clash with those of your lead area. We recommend that you attend at least the main induction talk for your partner school, and please note that the pre-sessional Maths on Thursday is compulsory if you do not have A-level Maths.
This timetable is for activities and meetings organised by the School of Economics. Please check with the other relevant school (Politics) for their activities.
Session locations
See ‘venue’ in the schedule below for details of where your induction sessions will take place.
- gives detailed information about accessibility of buildings across our campuses.
- University Park Campus map (PDF) has building numbers to help you find where your way around.
- Find a study space if you need a quiet place to join online meetings. There is also study space in the Sir Clive Granger Building café area and in room A64 (around past the toilets on the ground floor).
