Between 2012 and 2018 the School of Sociology and Social Policy hosted a research programme funded by the Leverhulme Trust: 'Making Science Public'. This programme was directed by Professor Brigitte Nerlich, now Emeritus, between 2012 and 2016, and by Dr Sujatha Raman, now working at the Australian National University in Canberra, between 2016 and 2018.
