We can only keep in mind about 4 things at a time but seem to achieve a lot with this limited memory. I study the strategies we use to maximise our memory, and how we could help those whose memory declines (due to age, for example). I primarily use neuroimaging methods (M/EEG, intracranial EEG) and modeling of behaviour as well as electrical stimulation to improve memory and reverse memory decline.
