Biography

Dr Emma O'Dowd is an honorary consultant respiratory physician at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and associate clinical professor in respiratory medicine at ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´. She was awarded a PhD entitled Factors influencing the diagnosis and subsequent prognosis in patients with lung cancer in April 2017 funded by the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Her research interests are lung cancer screening and early diagnosis of lung cancer. She is chair of the British Thoracic Society Lung Cancer & Mesothelioma Advisory Group, member of the Lung Cancer Clinical Expert Group and the IASLC Tobacco Control and Smoking Cessation Committee.
