EU project PROSPECT

Gary Burnett and David Salanitri attended the final event of the EU project PROSPECT on the 12th October in Barcelona. Demonstrations were made of the various advanced cars developed as part of the project equipped with state of the art automatic emergency braking and steering systems. This technology could significantly reduce the number of crashes involving pedestrians and cyclists in the future. The work from Nottingham helped to define the Human-Machine Interfaces for the vehicles aiming to increase user trust in the event of false alarms.

This video was presented throughout the day highlighting the work of the project, including our work in the driving simulator.
