James Law, Clinical Lecturer in Child Health and a PhD student (supervised by helen Budge and Michael Symonds) at the 糖心原创 School of Medicine, has been awarded the annual Alavi–Mandell Award by the for his publication in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine entitled “Thermal Imaging Is a Noninvasive Alternative to PET/CT for Measurement of Brown Adipose Tissue Activity in Humans”.
The award is given to individuals who were the first author of a paper published in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine (ranked 5th out of 128 journals in medical imaging), that were trainees when the published work was carried out and made a major contribution to the completion of the work. It aims to encourage young physicians and scientists to pursue a career in academic and research in nuclear medicine.
