Daniel Tejero's work on solution precursor high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying of niobium-doped titanium oxide has been published on Ceramics International. The paper was published as Open Access, meaning that anyone can download it and read it .
The research investigates the deposition process involved in solution precursor HVOF, from the initial breakup of the droplets as they enter the combustion chamber and flame, to the physico-chemical process underlying the formation of a solid coating. A thorough research on the effects that flame power has on the microstructure and phase composition of the coating was conducted, correlating the apparent counter-intuitive increase of anatase content with higher flame powers to the formation of Nb-doped TiO2 solid material.
Congratulations to Daniel Tejero on his first research paper.
