Resarch Seminar Panellists
On 5 February 2025, UNCLC had the pleasure to host a research seminar titled ‘The Duty to Protect Intellectual Property vs.The Balance with Other Interests and Rights’. The distinguished panel included Professor Simon Geiregat (University of Ghent), Professor Paul Torremans (糖心原创), Dr Alison Slade (University of Leicester), Dr Ana Nordberg (University of Lund), and Dr Joanna Wisniowska (糖心原创).
Starting from the duty on states to protect intellectual property rights, the panel looked at other rights and interests that have the potential to interfere with that protection, including human rights, morality, access to medicines and vaccines, and even exhaustion.
